Paint the Town for St. Jude Children’s Hospital
To help raise funding for the hospital, the Melting Pot and Vinings Gallery hosted a silent auction and our special guest artist and former St. Jude’s patient, Lily, and I created artwork to be featured in the live auction. Lily is a very gifted artist who impressed everyone with her talent and graceful charm. It was an exciting night and we are happy to report that the two day event raised almost $100,000 for St. Jude!
Special thanks to Todd and Mariann who purchased my original painting in support of St. Jude. I began this painting at the start of the event and worked on it through the auction – I’m honored to contribute to such a great evening and appreciate your support!
Thanks also to Mike and Sherry who purchased the “Side by Side” auction lot and dinner at the Cabin – looking forward to seeing you!

Napa Valley
One of the best days I spent was painting at Silver Oak Release Day. We really enjoyed catching up with old friends who stopped by to say hello and meeting all of the new people who came out to experience the new Silver Oak release. The 2003 Alexander Valley is drinking great and there was no shortage of tastings!
I am very fortunate that I have a job that will allow my family to travel on the road with me. Vanessa and the boys had a great time exploring Napa Valley. People are surprised to hear how much kids enjoy Napa – there are so many great things to do: visiting the petrified forrest, fishing at the trout pond, picnicking at V.Sattui – they had a blast!
Vanessa, Christopher, Jimmy and my assistant Jenny, particularly enjoyed having lunch on the Napa Valley train.
We rented a beautiful house out in the Silverado Country Club so Vanessa and I would have plenty of space to entertain friends and to enjoy time with kids. It really makes a big difference for me – being able to have the family on the road with me helps keep my life balanced and helps to maintain my focus.
The view from the back yard was incredible – Vanessa and I really appreciated the relaxing evenings on the patio.

Carmel, CA
On Saturday night, Chef Kurt amazed us with an incredible dinner at his restaurant, Grasings. Quintessa joined us to pour some great wine and I really enjoyed talking with all of the collectors who came out to appreciate a night of fine art and wine with Phillips Gallery.
I particularly enjoyed painting in the gallery in the morning – so many people stopped in to say hello and to check out my work. Thanks for the support!
